Changes to my study programme

There are a lot of changes I would like to make in the journalism program. In the first place, I think it would be good to invest in the infrastructure of the faculty, modernizing the classrooms and expanding the spaces for the comfort of students and professors. Another change that I consider important is about the length of the career, I think it could be adapted to last 4 years or eight semesters as is the case in other countries. This will also help to reduce the financial burden for students.

I think it would also be good to update the contents of the subjects related to the digital world in order to be able to work with the new technologies that are emerging and evolving faster and faster. An example of this are the new artificial intelligences oriented to the search and analysis of academic sources.

As I studied during the pandemic, I did not have access to the recording sets of the faculty, which I consider a disadvantage. Therefore, I believe that these resources should be used from the first year of the course. This would allow students to gain practical experience and become familiar with production environments, better preparing them for the future.

Finally, I believe that more practical activities taking advantage of faculty and campus spaces can allow future journalists and filmmakers to develop a better management of their social tools while discovering the university environment.
